Margot has experienced a spectrum of life, from intimacy with God to burnout as part of her journey with Jesus. She is confident in God’s loving, individual  ways with her and with those she accompanies in spiritual direction in the Ottawa area and around the world by video link.

She began to follow Christ after years of searching, and grew as a disciple through involvement in a campus fellowship. She served as a missionary cross-culturally in Asia and Canada, doing outreach, pastoral care and ministry coaching. Home from the mission field, she was surprised by the gentle ministry of her first spiritual director who supported her in a new season of intimacy with God.

Called to the ministry of spiritual direction, Margot completed a Masters of Theological Studies in Spiritual Formation at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto, and did a practicum in spiritual direction there. Margot has experience in offering Ignatius's Retreat in Daily life and is certified as an Enneagram, Motions of the Soul practitioner. She welcomes individuals and groups of directees of different ages, stages and walks of life.

Margot lives in Ottawa with her husband Stephen. They have a daughter with a developmental disability still living at home and a son recently married.
